Hey everyone! This is a call for help for our dear friend HeyShadyLady and her sweet rescue cat, Toasty. Toasty had a severe accident last night that left her with a broken rear leg and a severed tendon. Her vets have advised immediate surgery, with two difficult options: either a complex tendon repair or the amputation of her leg.

This couldn’t have come at a worse time for Ty. Between dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Asheville and the costs of a big move, finances are already stretched thin leaving Ty with few options to help Toasty get the critical care she urgently needs.

been spending a ton of time hiking lately!! I’ve

been spending a ton of time hiking lately!! I’ve been processing a lot of grief recently in my life, and am finding some kind of solace by throwing myself into nature. Does being alone in nature help you when your mind is full and your heart is aching?

I thought I would find myself with earbuds in blasting music or podcasts, numbing my brain even more, but I think I’ve spent so much time immersed in technology and other people’s thoughts, that lately on these walks and hikes, I’m usually just listening to the sounds of the forest or lake around me 🌳⛰️🌅🦢🌻 It’s been meditative, and the whole sitting still and meditating thing has never worked for me…. But for the first time in awhile I find myself thoughtless, and kinda just immersed in the space I’m in. It’s been nice. And my heart health is improving, which is another bonus 🥰

officially introducing you all to my new puppy ms. moxie!! she’s a sweet lil girl who is turning 6 months old in a couple weeks! I got her back in March, and she is quickly becoming my little partner in crime, going on hikes with me and being a little cuddle buddy :D

I’ve been wanting a dog for years, and after one of the most difficult winters of my life, I decided to commit to a partnership with Moxie 😊 my life pretty much revolves around her now, but once I stabilize a bit more with her, I’m hoping to come back to content creation.

I love her so much already and I’m so excited for the journey we’re on together 🥹🥰

It’s feeling like a “return to the roots” kinda vibe, peeling back some layers that got slapped on top of me out of necessity but not out of wanting… so going to try to scrape away the buildup that’s got me distracted and walking in circles and try to build myself in a back to basics kinda way.
